Emergency ISE Phone Numbers
During ISE office hours Monday - Friday
ISE office hours are 8:30 am to 4:30 pm Central Standard Time (CST), Monday through Friday, which is 3:30 pm to 11:30 pm Central European Time (CET).
It is important to note that most countries in Latin America do not observe Daylight Savings Time (DST). Costa Rica and Mexico are both in the (CST) zone, however, Mexico observes DST while Costa Rica does not. This means there will be no time difference for Mexico travelers, while Costa Rica travelers will find themselves one hour behind CST. Ecuador, Panama and Peru are typically one hour behind CST, but because DST is not observed in these countries, our students will not experience a time difference. Puerto Rico does not observe DST so the typical two-hour time difference is reduced to just one hour ahead of CST.

Calling the U.S. from abroad
From experience, we’ve found that buying a telephone card within the host country is the most efficient way for students to call home. This way they avoid struggling with access numbers for cards purchased in the U.S. Local telephone cards can usually be purchased at kiosks, newspaper stands and post offices.
