Over 35 years ago, foreign language teachers, like the ones at your school, wanted to create a great experience for students to further their knowledge in different languages and cultures. One of the best ways to teach students a new language is to have them constantly speak and experience it, so what better way than to go to a different country and be surrounded by the language and culture all the time? Thousands of students have taken advantage of this opportunity and they have had the time of their lives and learned more than they thought they ever would.

Teresa, who went to Spain in 2007, said "My experiences in Spain changed my life. I discovered that I love to learn and I can't wait to expand my knowledge of language and culture to better prepare myself to make a difference in our world."

Emily enjoyed her trip to France: "I surprised myself a lot because I did things I thought I wouldn't before I left, but when you immerse yourself in a culture it doesn't seem unnatural."

Craig came back from a wonderful experience in Mexico and said, "It was a great way to see Mexico in a way that many people live rather than the way other people make it for tourists."
