Student Programs
Self-guided, Staff-guided and Guided Educational Travel
Our published programs are found on this Web site and in our booklet. Students travel with their teachers to destinations outside the U.S. on itineraries that ISE creates. The prices and inclusions are available on our Web site and in the booklet. Within these programs you’ll find self-guided, staff-guided and locally guided programs. Request a booklet!
Custom Educational Travel Programs
Custom programs are for teachers who are comfortable traveling alone with their students, wish to create their own itinerary, do not wish to travel with other schools, or have specific travel dates or needs. The organizing teacher specifies the program inclusions and an ISE Family Stay may be included in a custom program. The final price is determined by actual group size and program ingredients. A minimum of 10 students is required for these programs. Learn more here!
U.S. Hosting Program
The U.S. Hosting Program is a great opportunity for students who are unable to travel or who are nervous about the family stay on an ISE program. Hosting gives students a chance to learn first-hand about another culture and an opportunity to share their own culture with a new friend. ISE coordinates 3-5 week family stay experiences in the U.S. for teenagers from other countries. American students who host and then travel with ISE receive a discount on their program. Teachers are compensated for organizing this opportunity as well. Learn more here!
New! Educator Programs
Educator Exploration
ISE’s new Educator Exploration Programs provide world language educators and adults who speak another language opportunities to experience cultural immersion through a family stay, visits to a variety of artisan co-operatives and rural communities, as well as time to reflect and understand the impact of various social and political movements within that culture. Participants may also earn up to two graduate credits through ISE’s partnership with Hamline University in St. Paul, MN. Learn more here!
