General Traveler Information: http://wwwn.cdc.gov/travel/default.aspx
Here are a few things to keep in mind:
- ISE’s regular cancellation policy applies to all cancellations, health related or otherwise.
- If a participant cancels because due to health reasons prior to departure, the regular cancellation policy applies. In the “to be determined” phase, the fee will be calculated on an individual basis. Participants may also submit a claim on ISE’s trip cancellation insurance. The current maximum reimbursement for trip cancellation due to illness of the participant is $1000.
- If a participant becomes ill while traveling, s/he has $25,000
insurance coverage for illness.
- ISE recommends that participants purchase additional trip cancellation insurance if they are at all concerned about traveling abroad. Participants may purchase additional insurance through Allianz. (All commissions directly support the ISE Financial Aid fund.) Learn more about this additional insurance here.
