This is a sample itinerary. Your actual itinerary will be assigned by ISE in accordance with the family stay community. Daily activities and sightseeing will be chosen by the group leader(s).

DAY 1 DEPARTURE: En route to Madrid

DAY 2 MADRID: Arrival and transfer to hotel. Begin exploring Madrid on foot. See Old Madrid with its delightful plazas and sparkling fountains at every turn. Master the metro or subway system. Enjoy an ISE welcome dinner. (D)

DAY 3 MADRID: Visit the splendid Palacio Real and the treasures of the world-renowned Museo del Prado. Later relax at an outdoor café in the Plaza Mayor. (B)

DAY 4 MADRID: After breakfast at the hotel, board a deluxe motorcoach for an all-day excursion to Valle de los Caídos, El Escorial and the memorable city of Segovia with its Acueducto Romano and Alcázar. Return to Madrid for free time. (B)

DAYS 5 & 6 SEVILLA: En route to Sevilla stop in Toledo for a visit of the massive cathedral. You’ll arrive in Sevilla in time for an evening promenade along the Guadalquivir. Spend the next day visiting the Barrio de Santa Cruz and the Reales Alcázares. Be sure to climb the Giralda tower. (2B)

DAY 7 GRANADA: At last you are off to Granada to see the incredible Alhambra and its nearby fountain-filled gardens called El Generalife. Don’t miss your chance to attend an optional flamenco show for a colorful evening of music and dance in the caves above the city. (B)

DAYS 8-13 FAMILY STAY: Board the motorcoach that will take you to meet your host family. During your 6-night family stay you will get to know the everyday life of a Spanish family. (Meals at home)

DAY 14 MADRID: Return to Madrid for one last evening. Enjoy an ISE farewell dinner. (D)

DAY 15 RETURN: Transfer to the airport for your return to the U.S. (B)

15-day Self-Guided Program:Prices are based on a minimum group size of 32 students from combined schools and a minimum teacher/student ratio of 1:6. When minimum group size is not reached, a small-group supplement will apply.
