This is a sample northern itinerary. Your actual itinerary will be assigned by ISE in accordance with the family stay community. Other itineraries are also available. Daily activities and sightseeing will be chosen by the group leader(s).
DAY 1 DEPARTURE: Enfin! Your flight will take you and your friends to exciting Paris, "City of Lights.”
DAY 2 PARIS: After your hotel check-in, explore the quartier and practice your French with waiters and shopkeepers. Learn how to use the Métro as you set out to explore this great city! Enjoy an ISE welcome dinner. (D)
DAY 3 PARIS: Stroll through the Louvre with its glass pyramid and have lunch at a sidewalk café. Visit the Eiffel Tower or take in the Musée d'Orsay. The Arc de Triomphe and the Champs-Elysées are a must. Find a cozy crêperie for dinner. (B)
DAY 4 PARIS: Experience Montmartre and take in a bird's eye view of Paris from the tower of the exotic Basilique du Sacré-Coeur. Picnic on the steps and then head to Beaubourg and let the street performers near the Centre Pompidou entertain you! (B)
DAYS 5-10 FAMILY STAY: This is the day you've been waiting for! Discover the Loire Valley and the beautiful châteaux of Chambord and Chenonceau before finally meeting your famille française. Many adventures await you during this coming week as you spend your days and evenings with your family. (Meals at home)
DAYS 11 & 12 ST. MALO: Say “Au revoir” to your new family and head to this magnificent walled channel port. Climb the narrow winding streets to discover the Abbey of Mont St. Michel. Be sure to sample some galettes, a specialty of the region. (2B)
DAY 13 BAYEUX: See the Normandy Beaches and relive World War II history by visiting Arromanches Musée Mémorial. In the afternoon, view the Bayeux tapestry. (B)
DAY 14 PARIS: After visiting the immense Palace of Versailles, spend one last afternoon shopping or just enjoying your surroundings. Enjoy an ISE farewell dinner. (B, D)
DAY 15 RETURN: You'll want to stay, but it's time to go. Your international flight from Paris will take you back to the U.S. (B)

Air travel on Friday, Saturday or Sunday carries a $25/day weekend surcharge. Requests for specific travel dates or airline may incur additional charges.
15-day Self-guided Program: Prices are based on a minimum group size of 32 students from combined schools and a minimum teacher/student ratio of 1:8. When minimum group size is not reached, a small-group supplement will apply.

- Current airline taxes & fees as of 12/31/09
- Land transportation (motorcoach, train or van as applicable)
- All overnight accommodations
- Meals as indicated on the itinerary: B: Breakfast, L: Lunch, D: Dinner
- ISE family stay (if applicable)
- Meals at home during the family stay
- Entrance fees allowance ($50 per student)
- Insurance (trip cancellation & medical) as specified here
