Châteaux et Champs-Elysées

DAY 1 Departure: Board your plane to Paris and start your memorable journey.

DAYS 2, 3 & 4 Paris: At last you arrive in the French capital, the “City of Lights.” Begin your journey with a visit to Versailles and a Tour of Paris. Explore the Quartier Latin and the Jardin de Luxembourg. Then stroll through the Quartier St. Michel where you can walk along the Seine River on the Ile de la Cité. Visit the Cathédrale de Notre-Dame, La Sainte Chapelle et la Conciergerie. Discover the Louvre and its famous pyramid, then experience the quaint Montmartre district. Visit the Basilique du Sacré-Coeur and celebrate French artistry at the Place du Tertre. Learn the Métro as you get acquainted with the main parts of this beautiful city. Enjoy your ISE welcome dinner on arrival day. (2B, 1D)

DAYS 5 & 6 BLOIS: Leave Paris for now and head for scenic Blois. Travel by motorcoach to Chartres, where the incredible stained glass windows of the cathedral await. Pass through the incomparable châteaux country of the Loire Valley to lovely Blois. (2B)

DAY 7 & 8 TOURS: Depart Blois and continue on to the historical city of Tours, famous for its original medieval district, le Vieux Tours. Unique to the Old City are its preserved half-timbered buildings and la Place Plumereau, a square with busy pubs and restaurants. The Boulevard Beranger crosses the Rue Nationale at the Place Jean-Jaures and is the location of weekly markets and fairs. In the garden of the ancient Palais des Archevêques view the huge cedar tree planted by Napoleon. (2B)

DAY 9 Paris:Take the train from Tours to incredible Paris to enjoy one last day of shopping and sightseeing. Visit the Musée d’Orsay or the Musée Rodin on your way to Les Invalides. Enjoy a farewell dinner before ascending to the top of the Eiffel Tower. (B, D)

DAY 10 Return:Transfer to the airport, depart for U.S. (B)

10-day Program: Prices are based on a minimum group size of 10 students and a minimum teacher/student ratio of 1:6. When minimum group size is not reached, a small-group supplement will apply.
